Gathering of the Clans (Limited Edition - Bruce Munro: Tropical Light Exhibition)
Whilst Bruce Munro’s light installation represents a flock of Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos, I decided to put a more “Darwin” spin on this image: the majestic Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos, which can be found around the Top End. Photographed at Anbangbang Billabong in Kakadu, this less-frantic cockatoo to me is reminiscent of the Darwin lifestyle - much more relaxed!
Limited to 40 editions as part of an exclusive collection for the 2019 Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition. Each image created relates directly to one of the exhibited light sculptures (of the same title) created and displayed in the Darwin CBD during the tropical summer of 2019-2020.
