ABOUT LIMITED EDITION IMAGES
Louise has 2 kinds of different image types - "Open Edition" and "Limited Edition". Open Editions are for images that can be printed indefinitely - there is no to limit to the number of copies that be printed. Limited Editions are for special or unique images that are limited to a set number of prints (typically only 20) and are assigned edition numbers (e.g 1/20). Once all editions are sold, that's it! The image will never be printed again.
A Limited Edition image could be special because:
The photograph was very difficult to capture (e.g taken in a very remote/hard to access area).
It showcases something extra special or unique.
It could never be replicated (e.g a ‘one-in-a-million’ shot).
It personally means something special to Louise as an artist.
They also receive special treatment when they are produced:
Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which includes its edition number and information about the photograph.
They are printed on premium archival papers known for particular qualities that Louise selects with the image in mind. For example a heavy-weight matte cotton rag for crisp, fine detail and a Baryta-style “gold fibre gloss” paper (known for its exceptionally vivid colour and tonal reproduction) for a more artistic finish.
Framed images are made with our premium range of timbers, including a popular Tasmanian oak.
All Limited Edition prints come with non-reflective glass as an included upgrade.
