Yellow Water Billabong, Kakadu
The famous tranquil waters of Yellow Water Billabong in Kakadu National Park. This image was captured at the end of the wet season, when water levels are almost at their highest. The waters clear and flushed, the landscape green, lush and healthy. The morning sky clear and free of heat/smoke haze!
The warm morning light and still waters allow for great reflection opportunities.
This Kakadu waterhole is probably the park’s most famous. Famous for an almost safari-like experience! Teeming with birdlife, the opportunity to spot buffo, brumbies and lots of crocodiles!
A sunrise/early morning shoot is always my favourite. As nature comes alive, the opportunities for photographing birds and wildlife are at their best. The magic of the sunrise glow is always enhanced with low lying mist, which only happens at sunrise.
