Central Valley, Litchfield National Park
This beautiful cascading waterfall is part of the upper East Reynolds river, in Central Valley.
A small but beautifully shaded pool surrounded by native flora.
Located a short way upstream from campground 2 in Litchfield’s newest visitor area at Central Valley, I was lucky enough to photograph this spot right at the start of the dry season when the water flow is looking is best. I took the rocky trail pre-dawn, armed with my head torch with the aim of capturing the soft early morning light, best for showcasing the vibrant greens of the lush flora.
